As a local co-host of ACE26, we're excited to showcase the strength and engagement of the Virginia Section as we welcome water professionals from across the country to our area. Attending is an excellent way to get involved, expand your network, and experience ACE firsthand.
We hope to see you there from June 21-24 for a great conference filled with networking, learning, and fun! AWWA Members are encouraged to stop by the Member Exclusive Lounge in the Grand Lobby (Salon A/B) to enjoy exclusive prizes, swag, snacks, and coffee, along with a comfortable space to network, recharge, and relax during the conference. It’s a great opportunity to celebrate membership and connect with the AWWA community.

Eddy (our traveling AWWA plush mascot) is looking back on last summer’s incredible Ed-venture to WaterJAM...flipping through a scrapbook full of unforgettable memories. Now it’s time to make some new ones!
This summer, Eddy is hitting the road again and needs hosts to welcome him at their facility along the way. As a host, you’ll keep Eddy for a few days, bring him along on your daily adventures, and capture photos or videos of his visit. Show him around your facility, take him to meetings, construction sites, or field activities, and let him experience what makes your work unique.
When Eddy’s visit is over, simply send us your favorite photos and videos so we can share them with the full membership before he heads to his next destination.
And there’s a little friendly competition: the host who submits the best photo will win a fun prize!
The Roanoke/Lynchburg/Bedford/Salem Water Tower Showdown is looking for volunteers to serve as judges. In this competition, teams of middle schoolers build functional small-scale water towers to be evaluated at the competition for prizes.
We’re looking for judges for the competition to score the towers on various engineering and aesthetic criteria to determine a winner. Judges don’t need any prior experience and we will train everyone on the morning of the competition.
Come out for a fun morning to see what the kids have made and to be the face of water infrastructure in the community.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Mark Titcomb (mtitcomb@nnva.gov)
