Wastewater Plant Supervisor

To supervise plant operator(s), and to monitor and operate the wastewater plants and equipment used to collect, treat, and release domestic and industrial waste into the environment, in a fiscally prudent manner that complies with all regulations, standards, safety rules, and enhances our EMS efforts.

 

Title of Position: WASTEWATER PLANT SUPERVISOR
Hiring Range: $64,272.00 - $80,340.00
Position type: Full-time, Non-Exempt

 

Qualifications: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years of college credit is preferred. Must possess a Class I license in wastewater, as issued through the Virginia Board of Certification of Water and Wastewater Works Operators and three (3) years of experience as a Class I Wastewater Operator.

Required skills: Must have the ability to communicate, both verbally and written, and read in English to understand directions and procedures. Must understand basic mathematics, have mechanical and electrical knowledge, and be able to use general hand tools. Must have the ability to use a computer and have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must exhibit a positive attitude and have the ability to supervise. Must possess a valid Virginia Driver’s License. Must either possess a valid Virginia Commercial Driver License Class B with Endorsement N (tanker vehicle), or acquire said license within 12-18 months of
employment.
