Augusta County Service Authority is accepting applications for a full-time Project Coordinator. The Project Coordinator will coordinate with the Engineering Department to provide technical assistance to the Treatment Operations Department in the areas of system management and operations, design and construction of new facilities, facilities upgrades, replacements, expansions, budgeting, procurement/project delivery, permitting, and construction.
 
 
The Project Coordinator will determine and define project scope and objectives, develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan. Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project, coordinate activities with local jurisdictions, state and federal agencies, private businesses, contractors, consultants, and others involved in Authority projects. Coordinate invitations for bid, manage the procurement of construction services for assigned projects, and comply with federal, state and local regulations. This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Biology or related field with five (5) years in project management of water and wastewater facilities, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have knowledge of regulations issued by, but not limited to Augusta County Code, the Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Environmental Quality, Virginia Health Department, Occupational Safety and Health Act, Virginia Department of Transportation, and VA811 that pertain to public water and wastewater treatment facilities.
