The Logistics Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of a large multi-functional warehouse to include inventory and procurement activities of the Waterworks Department. You’ll also be responsible for managing the departmental vehicles and coordination of equipment.
Day to day, you would oversee the warehouse and procurement activities like ordering, receiving, issuing of materials and supplies, and organizing any surplus in the warehouse. You will be responsible for managing the automated inventory systems, conducting audits for accuracy, and establish stocking requirements. With managing inventory, also comes the responsibility to manage the bid and proposal process for vendors and purchase contracts. It is important that we utilizing the City’s dollars in the most efficient way possible when purchasing quality equipment, materials, and supplies for the department.
As a manager, you’ll be overseeing the supervision and administration of the Logistics branch. This would include daily tasks like budget prep, and the selection, training, and performance management of employees. How much money can I make?
The salary range for this position is $52k-$921k. Salary ranges are competitive based on education, qualifications, and experience. In addition to salary, the City offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to meet all of our employee’s needs!

What are the qualifications for this position?
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Management, Procurement or a related field and 5-7 years of supply, stock, procurement or warehouse experience including 3-4 years of supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
An acceptable general background check to include a local and state criminal history check and a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record will also be required.
