The Emergency Preparedness and Security Committee (EPSC) is a joint committee between Virginia Section AWWA and VWEA. The committee’s goal is to bring together Virginia’s water and wastewater professionals who have an interest in utility resiliency to share best practices, communicate resiliency-related regulatory change, and strengthen emergency preparedness and security awareness.
 
The Vice Chair of the Emergency Preparedness and Security Committee is responsible for:
  • Leading monthly committee meetings when the chair is unavailable
  • Recruiting members to join the committee
  • Assisting the committee in creating opportunities for water and wastewater professionals to share best practices, communicate regulatory change, and strengthen emergency preparedness and security awareness.
  • Reviewing the annual committee budget
Anticipated time commitment:  2-3 hours per month
Term: 2 years as vice-chair, then rolling into the Chair role.
