Assistant Wastewater Manager

This individual reports to the Wastewater Manager and is responsible for the RWSA wastewater operations, to include operating multiple facilities, managing and training employees working at these facilities and on various shifts, overseeing all treatment practices and assisting in the development of annual operating and capital improvement budgets. The Assistant Wastewater Manager also works directly with the Wastewater Manager to ensure regulatory compliance with agencies such as the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality and the Virginia Department of Health. This position requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school, and at least five years of increasingly responsible experience in directing and operating wastewater treatment facilities. A Class 1 Virginia Wastewater license, or the ability to get one within a reasonable timeframe is required. This is a salaried, exempt position with on-call responsibility.

 

Salary Range: $55,642 - $92, 365 annually
