The 2026 "Lunch and Learn" PD Series for Water Operators

Join the VA AWWA Plant Operations and Education Committees for a year-long professional development series to benefit Water Operators at any level of experience. These sessions will focus on building a statewide network of Water Operators and strengthening their connections and shared knowledge.

Your Hosts
The Education Committee promotes the educational, professional development, training, and technology exchange programs for the Virginia Section. The Education Committee sponsors, co-sponsors, coordinates, and/or provides support for the following assignments/projects:
  • Regional Training Webinars
  • Promote Regulatory Knowledge and Training

The Plant Operations Committee is charged with developing educational and training opportunities, promoting professionalism, and fostering communication to benefit water treatment plant administrative, operational, and maintenance personnel. Each year, the committee stages two major events: the fall Plant Operations Seminar and the spring Plant Operations Conference. Additionally, the Plant Operations Committee developed the Section's Code of Ethics for Water Works Professionals, contributes to TAP Magazine, and holds the annual TOP OPS competition.
