The VA AWWA Plant Operations Committee proudly announces the 21st Annual Plant Operators Conference to be held May 6th - 7th virtually. This conference is dedicated to promoting education and training, increasing performance, and fostering communication among waterworks operators, maintenance, and management personnel. Attendance is recommended for waterworks operators of both small and large groundwater and surface water systems.
 
Here is a look at the program for this year's training:

  • What You Need to Know About OSHA/VOSH Inspections - Jonathan Wright, City of Chesapeake
  • Lead Service Line Inventory/Replacement and Impacts of the Revised LCR - Bob Edelman, VDH - Office of Drinking Water
  • Corrosion Control Monitoring, Evaluation and Treatment - Ashley Evans and Victoria Nystrom, Arcadis
 
Friday, May 7th  |  9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Introduction to Unidirectional Flushing - Denise Buckley, PollardWater
  • Construction and Implementation of UV Disinfection at Portsmouth's Lake Kilby Water Treatment Facility - Mark Notheis, Rachel DuBois, and Thomas Dzuira, Jacobs
  • Asset Management: Planning and Implementation - Andrea Edgerton, Hazen and Sawyer
 
**All presentations/speakers are subject to change.  Six (6) Operator CPE credits are APPROVED
