The Joint VA AWWA | VWEA WAVE (Welcoming and Valuing Everyone) Committee provides annual scholarships to support water professionals in their professional development. This scholarship aims to make WEFTEC accessible to everyone, eliminating the financial burdens that attending a conference can bring.
WEFTEC Scholarship
The WAVE Committee will award a scholarship to attend WEFTEC. The scholarship includes conference registration, and up to $1,000 for travel expense reimbursements (can include hotel, transportation, and meals).
Eligibility
- Full-time employee at a company that works directly in the water/wastewater industry.
- A member of either WEF/VWEA (individually or through your organization) or willingness to become a member.
- Career goal of serving/working in the water/wastewater industry in any area.
- Acceptance of scholarship constitutes permission to use the recipient’s name and scholarship story for the purpose of promotion. It also certifies that you will attend the conference. If you are for any reason unable to attend last minute, you will give at least two weeks notice so funds can be redistributed to another applicant.
The deadline for applications for WEFTEC 2026 is July 17, 2026.
