The
Manufacturer's and Representative's Committee (MARC) a Joint
Committee of VA AWWA and VWEA, consists of members from
equipment manufacturers and manufacturer's representative
sales agencies involved in the water and wastewater industry
in Virginia. The primary mission of this committee is to
provide support to VA AWWA and VWEA educational programs
by planning, coordinating and implementing the exhibitor
programs at the Annual Meetings and other specialty seminars
to maximize educational value for attendees and provide
a source of revenues to help pay for the meetings. The committee
also provides technical resources to VA AWWA and VWEA such
as speakers specializing in particular process and equipment
technologies for seminars and training sessions. The MARC
also acts a liaison to bring issues of concern from its
manufacturer and representative members to the Boards, and
to communicate Board policies to its members, as well as
coordinating with the national MAC and MARC committees of
AWWA and WEF respectively.
