40th Annual Customer Service Workshop

A workshop designed for employees at all levels of water and sewer utilities. Management, Supervisory, Front Office and Field Staff members will benefit from the topics presented. We have three days planned full with speakers, presentations, food, outings and more! This conference offers highly interactive sessions, group discussions and peer networking opportunities.
Wednesday kicks-off at 9 am with a warm welcome from Erin Trimyer, Director of Public Utilities for Portsmouth, Virginia. Vendor introductions and presentations follow. Dave Maddox, CEO of The Enduring Leadership Project, teaches attendees about the three connections leaders must make in order to be successful by presenting Some Assembly Required: The Plans, Pieces, and Parts for Connective Leadership.
Thursday includes a panel discussion about Career Development Programs for call center and field operations personnel; Let's Talk Shop, an annual favorite best practice group discussion answering questions from the attendees; What's Your Number, a session about Enneagram types and team dynamics; and wrapping the day by Putting FUN into Customer Service. Thursday evening is an optional group dinner outing which is always a great time!
On Friday, we wrap up the workshop with How to Connect the Dots. Libby Gooden, Director of Human Resources Management for the City of Portsmouth, ties together the information learned throughout the week and how Customer Service, Leadership & You benefit your organization.
