Strategic Planning Committee


Objective:

To develop a Strategic Plan made up of short and long term goals and objectives for the VA Section AWWA. These goals and objectives, with an implementation schedule, will be developed with input from the VA Section Board of Trustees and the Committees from the VA Section. The Strategic Plan will be a dynamic document that will need to be updated and modified annually, based on the needs of the VA Section AWWA.

Membership:

The Chair of this committee is appointed by the VA Section Board of Trustees. Other committee members are recommended by the Chair of the committee and appointed by the VA Section Chair. Members of this committee must have been prior Trustees or Committee Chairs of the VA Section.

Duties:

     The following duties are assigned to this committee:

a.   Recommend committee members to the VA Section Chair for appointment.

b.   Keep a good, working committee with all members active.

c.   Solicit input from the VA Section Board of Trustees and Committees about strategic planning issues.

d.   Review and revise VA Section Strategic Plan, as required, to identify the future goals of the VA Section, the objectives necessary for implementation of these goals, and the appropriate schedule and cost.

e.   Adhere to guidelines set forth in the general policies for committees (Section IIIA of the Handbook).
