Research Committee


Objective:

To support the efforts of and to provide a liaison with the AWWA Research Foundation.

Membership:

The Chair of this committee is appointed by the Board of Trustees. Other committee members are recommended by the Chair of the committee and approved by the VA Section Chair.

Member of:

Technical and Standards Council

Duties:

a.   Distribution of research-related information, coordination of VA Section and AWWA Research Foundation activities, obtaining technical and research data for AWWA's use and providing liaison between utilities, academic institutions, laboratories, and industry as required.

b.   Selection of a diverse committee comprised of VA Section members. In the selection process, consideration should be given to geographic distribution  of the committee members across the state.

c.   Adhere to guidelines set forth in the general policies for committees (Section IIIA of the Handbook).
