Committee
Objective:
To advise the Board of Trustees in the conduct of the financial
affairs of the VA Section, including the development of the
annual budget and to retain an auditor.
Membership:
The Treasurer shall be the Chair of the committee, and the
Secretary of the committee shall be appointed by the committee
Chair from among the committee members. The committee shall
have five members consisting of the Treasurer, the Section Administrator,
the Past-Chair, one first-year Trustee, and one second-year
Trustee.
Reports to:
Chair-Elect, VA Section
Duties:
The following duties are
assigned to this committee:
a. Prepare an itemized annual budget for the coming
budget year, for presentation at the winter Board of Trustees
meeting, by soliciting budget requests from each committee.
b. Assist the Treasurer, as necessary, in preparing
quarterly, semi-annual and/or annual financial reports.
c. Advise the Board of Trustees in matters pertaining
to the budget, investments, accounting, annual meeting budget
and registration fees, or any other financial aspect of the
VA Section.
