We’d love to have your office participate by collecting food donations to support a local food bank. Donations will go to either the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank or the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore, depending on your office location.
07 Nov 2026 2026 Tidewater Model Water Tower Competition Nov 07, 2026 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Join us for the Eleventh Annual Model Water Tower Competition in the Tidewater area. The challenge is to build a structurally efficient model water tower that holds water and can be filled and drained quickly, while also being aesthetically pleasing. Middle school students from public, private, or home schools can compete in teams of up to four students each.

16 Nov 2026 Cross Connection Devices: Inspection, Maintenance, and Testing- 40 Hours- Fall 2026 Nov 16, 2026 8:00 AM - Nov 20, 2026 4:30 PM This five (5) day training course is offered in support of the Safe Drinking Water Act and Virginia Waterworks Regulations. It is designed to prepare participants to test, inspect, and provide in-line maintenance of reduced pressure zone and other backflow prevention devices. Training includes both classroom and hands-on instruction with actual devices.

The scholarship covers travel to and from the conference, registration and lodging. Deadline to apply: Friday, December 4, 2026 Summit Details: The AWWA/WEF Young Professionals (YP) Summit is the premier water and wastewater industry workshop for young professionals. Join other young leaders by exploring your role in water and discussing how you can best serve the water sector at large. This skills development workshop provides supplemental training and networking opportunities to emerging leaders and students in the water sector.
