The VA AWWA / VWEA Laboratory Practice Committee announces the 14th Annual Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) Conference,
to be held in Charlottesville, Virginia on August 4-5, 2008
at the Omni Charlottesville Hotel. This conference is designed to provide the latest information of major
issues such as analytical method updates and development, laboratory accreditation, regulatory updates, particularly those impacting
laboratory staff and utilities; and emerging technologies and analytical instrumentation. This is a great opportunity to present
new information related to water and wastewater issues. Workshops will be held on the 4th and the technical presentations will be given on the 5th.

2008 Plant Operations Conference to be held May 14-16, 2008
in Virginia Beach, VA. This is the VA AWWA conference created for operators, by operators. The program
will begin with a troubleshooting roundtable on Wednesday, May 14, 2008, followed by two days of technical sessions on a variety
of topics of interest to operators, from turbidity standards to chlorine safety.
